It's album release day and two BB's1 who apparently had the same album cover photographer have new albums.
Alicia Keys - As I Am
This is Alicia's 3rd studio album of new material. Once upon a time, I would hit up Circuit City on the first day of release for an A. Keys album, but the first single from this album has left much to be desired. I'll keep my ear to the ground for more releases, I don't give up that easily. Leona Lewis - Spirit
If you haven't heard of Leona, she's a singer from the UK who won the American Idol-like singing competition, The X Factor. The internets are going crazy for Lewis and her new video on YouTube has had over 6 million hits in under one month. They say she's the next Whitney or Mariah. Personally, I'm not feeling it. Reno resident deems Beyonce billboard "ghettoizing".
Of course, this old bish and her petition signing neighbors should take themselves and that fence and shove it. I could give a damn about that billboard or their "plight", but I will put their hypocritical comments up for you to make sense of because I may be a bit biased.
Pamela Keeney thought it was bad enough when a billboard went up near her Reno home and blocked mountain views. Now, she's really upset because the billboard features the bikini-clad image of singer Beyonce Knowles.
"It's obscene," Keeney told the Reno Gazette-Journal. "I have my two little grand kids coming over here, and they don't need to be seeing that. You can change the channel on the TV, but you can't change that."
Other residents expressed more concern over how the billboard has blocked mountain views in the west Reno neighborhood.
"If you come out here it now dominates the skyline," Ward Ryan said. "It just screams of degradation, it screams of ghettoizing a good neighborhood."
