Before the influx of the VMA coverage and because there was no post from yours truly Friday...here ya go:
Fashion week is in full swing, and we found another ANTM winner actually doing runway work:
Jaseline Gonzalez modeling Snoopy In Fashion. Wow.
Kimora Lee Simmons of Baby Phat Showed This Week
Kimora and beau Djimon Hounsou
I hope they aren't comparing notes.
Kendu Isaacs and Mary J. Blige
Star Jones sans Albert Reynolds
Evan and Chudney Ross
A sad little lady.
And her twin.
Miss Jay and his moisturized situation.
And now for another editon of Everybody Ain't Able:
A lot of people loved this dress when it was featured in a music video:
Stylist June Ambrose did it no justice.
That's better.
The Rest of Fashion This Week
Ciara:
I really hope she stops parting that lacefront down the middle.
Jennifer Lopez:
At Just Roberto Cavalli
Oh, Jenny. You love retiree on vacation/Zoolander impersonator look a bit too much.
Britney Spears and P Diddy at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas
Why is he looking at Dallas Austin like that?
Kelly Rowland in Miami Beach
What is she spotting?
Kelly and a friend. She's allowed to have more of those, right?
Terrence Howard looking like my dad, who coincidentally wore the exact same ensemble with a slightly larger 'fro back in '76, posed with Jodie Foster at the premiere for their thriller, The Brave One.
Gotta Push That Spanish Language Album
By Any Means Necesario
Beyonce featured on the cover of People en Espanol
You know how when you're nervous, or in Beyonce's case, when your mouthpiece isn't available, you find yourself rambling, sounding like a jackass and eventually discounting your race?
Me neither.
"I would thank [my Latina fans] for embracing me. I did radio (promotions) this morning for hours and hours and I noticed a big difference between speaking to all of the Latino stations and speaking to the pop stations or the other stations. With the Latino stations, there was so much love and everyone is so genuine. I’m just jealous that I wasn’t born Latina. I wish I had been because the culture is so beautiful. I’m very grateful Latinos are embracing me."-Beyonce interviewed by Latina Magazine
[Something tells me that if she was being interviewed for Green Martian Monthly, she would have said the exact same thing. Always embrace your Creolicity, girl!]
[Thanks Afiya!]
Mya's New Video Ridin'
Mya at Baby Phat show during Fashion Week
I don't remember Mya sounding so Alvin and the Chipmunks-esque. Then again, the last thing I listened to her on was those Coke commercials. That first note startled the hell out of me.
